This strand explores how to harness AI to enhance teaching and learning while maintaining the human element. Participants will learn to use AI ethically, align tools with ACTFL Guiding Principles, and apply them to teach and assess the three modes of communication. Through hands-on exploration and collaboration, educators will curate and share AI-driven strategies to improve engagement, instruction, and assessment across five interactive sessions.
What do you need for this strand? A foundation in lesson & unit design, knowledge of modes of communication, and proficiency in basic technology such as Google Suite.
This strand is for you if you... are developing a thoughtful philosophy of technology use in your classroom. You have completed Strand A or equivalent and are looking to deepen your knowledge and practice of artificial intelligence tools.
