Do you have the courage to lead? We will explore leadership as an act of service to the profession, delving into the philosophy and practices of leadership as they relate to personal and professional growth. We will challenge you to think deeply about your role as a leader, regardless of the current position you hold. You will be encouraged to take risks with your leadership abilities by pursuing roles such as department head, and local association board positions and working as an advocate for World Language teaching and learning at all levels. This strand is invitational only and requires a two-year commitment. Successful Leadership graduates will complete a multi-year project related to their personal leadership interests and goals. minimum of 3 previous SWLP/BAFLP seminars or equivalent.

This strand is for you if you... have successfully completed the majority of SWLP strands and want to take that extra step in your professional growth - are currently a WL department head or WL curriculum leader who is looking for professional support - want to explore your leadership potential
